A Dynamic musician, composer, and creative visionary Coleman Kelly is redefining artistic excellence from his home state of Utah. Gifted with absolute pitch at just 11 years old, Coleman’s natural talent and relentless drive have propelled him to achieve extraordinary milestones. Under the mentorship of Armen Sahakyan, he continues to master the piano while pushing the boundaries of his craft.

In 2024, Coleman made history at the NAACP ACT-SO Competition as the first participant to write and perform an original classical composition. His piece, Yarns of the Infinate: Seed to Root, co-written with his father, Samuel Kelly, is a modern classical masterpiece inspired by the science fiction fantasy series Yarns of the Infinate (YOTI), where Coleman also serves as a co-writer.

Coleman’s father, Samuel Kelly, is not only his collaborator but also his mentor, sharing over 40 years of expertise in music, storytelling, and character creation. With an unorthodox teaching style, Samuel is shaping Coleman into a multifaceted artist and innovator.

Coleman’s academic achievements, including a 4.1 GPA, reflect his dedication to excellence. His passion for music is further exemplified by his work on Sergei Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Major, Opus 26, a testament to his technical skill and ambition.

Beyond music, Coleman is a skilled video editor, collaborating with his father on impactful advertisements for their family business. He also leads Maps and Places, a division of Beetle-Go, where he merges music with products to create unique, immersive experiences.

Coleman’s expertise extends to sound design, movie scoring, and music production. With bi-weekly lessons from Drew Livermore, he explores cutting-edge tools like Cubase, Arturia Pigments, and Xfer Serum, ensuring he remains at the forefront of innovation.

Coleman Kelly is not just a rising star—he is a creative force poised to leave an indelible mark on the worlds of music and storytelling.

Where Art and Music Meet

In November 2023, I had the pleasure of meeting the Woodchart team at The Outdoor Retailers in Salt Lake City, Utah.

I was mesmerized by their maps and the idea of writing music for them. And now, here we are. I am very grateful to be able to sell these 3D Nautical Wood Maps to you and compose original music to enhance your experience.
